Sir Fred Hoyle … an atheist?

Sir Fred Doyle was a famous astronomer who originally coined the term “The Big Bang”. He was an atheist.

Died 20 August 2001(2001-08-20) (aged 86) Bournemouth, England
However, Dr. Hoyle also made the following statement about the creation of the carbon atom;
Would you not say to yourself, “Some super-calculating intellect must have designed the properties of the carbon atom, otherwise the chance of my finding such an atom through the blind forces of nature would be utterly minuscule. A common sense interpretation of the facts suggests that a superintellect has monkeyed with physics, as well as with chemistry and biology, and that there are no blind forces worth speaking about in nature. The numbers one calculates from the facts seem to me so overwhelming as to put this conclusion almost beyond question.” – Fred Hoyle
According to Hoyle’s analysis, the probability of cellular life evolving was about one-in-1040,000 The resulting odds are so incredibly huge as to be impossible. As a result, Hoyle stated that the most likely scenario was that “the origin of life on earth had come from preexisting life in space“.
As a born again Christian, I agree with him. The Bible states;
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” and of Jesus, “All things came into being through Him“.
None of us were created by accident or by random chance, as Sir Fred Hoyle’s statistic clearly proves. In fact, the Bible states in many places that God knew each one of us as, and even before, we were conceived in our mother’s womb.
Jesus told this parable in the book of Matthew;
The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
You are the treasure in the field. When Jesus found you, he hid you again to keep you safe. In His joy at finding you, He gave up everything that He had in heaven to come to earth in the form of a man. He willingly allowed Himself to be whipped, tortured and then crucified, just so that He might redeem your soul from sin and allow you to live in paradise with Him for eternity. The book of Timothy states it as follows;
For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.
If you would like to start your life over again, you can do it by giving your heart over to Jesus, the Messiah of Israel and the Saviour of mankind. Pray the following prayer and if you are sincere, He will change your life forever;

Dear Lord,  I admit that I am a sinner.  I have done many things that don’t please you.  I have lived my life for myself.  I am sorry and I repent.  I ask you to forgive me.  I believe that you died on the cross for me, to save me.  You did what I could not do for myself.  I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life, I give it to you.   Help me to live every day in a way that pleases you.  I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you.

If you prayed the above, then you are a born again Christian! If you’re wondering what to do next as a new Christian, check out these helpful suggestions:

About doctordave777

I'm a regular guy whose life was changed forever when I met Yeshua The Messiah, aka Jesus. I just happened to be on a Zen-Buddhist retreat in Manhattan, New York when this event occurred, a little over 30 years ago now. In His grace, He reached down and spoke to me. I've never been the same since. If you would be interested in emailing me personally, I can be contacted at Dave
